A custom cab enclosure being fabricated at ProEnclosures

For equipment manufacturers

Your machine needs a cab. Building one shouldn't cost you a product line.

We design and build operator enclosures for equipment that never had a factory cab — engineered around the real machine, not adapted from a universal shell. If your customers keep asking for weather protection and it isn't on your option sheet, that's the conversation we want to have.

Under one roof Engineering & fabrication Design, build, test-fit and install happen in the same building in Milton, Kentucky — so a fit problem gets solved the same week, not next quarter.
Not a prototype shop Built to be repeatable Every cab we release gets a part number, an installation sheet and a fitment entry. A one-off becomes a product your dealers can order and install.

The cab gap costs you the sale twice

Once when a buyer picks the machine that comes with weather protection, and again when your dealer loses the follow-on work to whoever fabricates something in a back lot. Neither of those has to be your problem to solve alone.

No tooling on your side Your spec, our build
01
Fill the gap in your line
You have a machine with no cab option and no appetite to engineer one. We design it around your unit — controls, overhead guard, sightlines, service access — and it becomes something your sales team can quote instead of apologise for.
New product No NRE on your line
02
Offer it as a factory option
Cabs fitted before the machine ships, or shipped alongside it for your dealer to install. Either way it arrives with a part number, drawings and an installation sheet, so it behaves like the rest of your option catalogue.
Option code Documented
03
Cover the machines already out there
Your installed base doesn't disappear because a cab wasn't offered in 2019. We publish fitments by model so your dealers can retrofit units in the field — aftermarket revenue on machines you already sold.

How a program actually runs

It starts with a machine, not a drawing package. Send us one unit and the rest follows from what we find on it.

1
Send a unit
One machine comes to Milton. We measure the real thing — because the drawing and the production unit are rarely the same by the third revision.
2
Design
Our engineers lay out the enclosure around operator reach, sightlines, entry and service access, and agree the spec with your team before anything is cut.
3
Build & test-fit
We fabricate the first article and fit it to your machine in-house, so problems surface on our floor instead of your customer's.
4
Sign-off & docs
You approve the unit in person or on video. It gets part numbers, an installation sheet and a fitment listing — the paperwork that makes it orderable.
5
Produce & support
Built to order as your volume comes. Your dealers get the same fitment pages and install sheets our own network uses.
The machine has to come to us
There's no way around it for a first build — a cab that fits properly is measured off the real unit. You arrange transport in and out; everything between is ours. See the custom projects page for how that has gone on previous builds.

Start the conversation

Tell us about the machine and what your customers are asking for. If it's a fit, the next step is a call with an engineer — not a sales sequence.

What volume do you need to make this worth doing?
Less than most people assume. We build to order rather than to a production run, so a program doesn't have to start with a container of cabs. Tell us the volume you'd realistically forecast and we'll tell you honestly whether it works.
Who pays for the design work?
That depends on how much engineering the machine needs and what happens to the design afterwards — a cab we can also sell into the aftermarket looks different from one built exclusively for you. Worth a direct conversation.
Can it carry our branding?
Ask us. Branding, colour matching and how the cab is presented to your dealers are all things we can talk through once we know the shape of the program.
How long does a first build take?
From the machine arriving to a fitted, signed-off cab is measured in weeks, not months — but it depends entirely on the machine. We'll give you a real schedule after we've seen it, not before.
Who installs them once we're in production?
Whichever suits you: fitted here before shipping, installed by your dealers using our sheets, or installed by us for a fee. See install services.
What about warranty and support?
The cab is covered under our warranty, and every released part gets a published installation sheet your dealers can pull up in the bay.
